Brezelkönig looks back on a long history – from its beginnings as ‘Brezeli-Beck’ to becoming the leading supplier of pretzels, with 60 outlets throughout Switzerland.
Under the leadership of Valora, Brezelkönig continues to develop into the leading provider of gourmet pretzel products in Switzerland. Thanks to its high-quality, consistently fresh products and fast service, Brezelkönig sets new standards and is the leading provider of pretzel breadsin Switzerland.
The Valora Group takes over the pretzel bakery Ditsch in 2012. As a result, the Brezelkönig brand also comes under the umbrella of the Valora Group. Its integration into the Valora Group strengthens Brezelkönig’s position in the market and enables further growth.
In 2000, the pretzel bakery Ditsch acquires Brezelkönig from the former owner. This acquisition marks the beginning of a new phase of expansion and further development.
Three years later, in 1988, the first store opens under the name ‘Brezelkönig’. The focus from the outset is on high quality and continuous innovation when it comes to pretzel breads.
Stephan Bosshard opens his first store in Zurich under the name ‘Brezeli-Beck’. This store lays the foundation for the brand that later becomes known as Brezelkönig.
